The 2014 North State Barbeque Championship Series (NSBC) is a three meat Barbeque Cook-Off Championship featuring top barbeque pitmasters from around the West Coast. These pitmasters will be competing for over $25,000 in series prize money and awards along with the title of the 2014 North State Barbeque Champion. Pitmasters will prepare the three meats, tri-tip, chicken and St. Louis style pork ribs, along with a chili and salsa division featuring some of the top chili aficionados in the West. The reigning 2013 California Chili and Salsa Champion Gina Darcangelo will be out to defend her title. This is your chance to come out and sample some of the best BBQ you have ever had!! Public sampling starts at 1:30 pm on the day of these events.
We will open the NSBC on Friday, June 20th with the 2nd Annual BBQ Pitmasters Golf Tournament and fund raiser for the Wounded Warriors Project at River Tasalim Country Club. Each foursome will be paired with a professional BBQ pitmaster for a fun, story filled round of golf and Barbecue. On Saturday it's time to kick your tires and light your fires as the first round of the NSBC kicks off at the beautiful Win-River Casino & Lodge featuring their luxurious new hotel complete with pool and fitness center.
Round #2 will be Saturday July 19th. Boomtown Casino & Hotel in Reno NV.
Round #3 will be on Saturday August 16th at the Shasta District Fair Grounds in Anderson, Ca will feature
The Finals will be held on Saturday, September 20th at Feather Falls Casino and Brewery in Oroville, a fantastic venue!
New this spring and summer will be the 2014 NSBC Competitor Series where the top two winners from ten different qualifing events (see events page for locations) will go head to head in a BBQ throwdown challange at the NSBC finals at Feather Falls Casino and Brewery in Oroville, CA for cash, prizes and the title of NSBC Competitor Series Champion!!!!
